PAUL NEWMAN "To Paul" photos comparison - REAL ?

How do these two early Paul Newman photos look? Both signed "To Paul" and both early.

#1 looks like vintage ballpoint

#2 fountain pen

There are some subtle difference between the two in some of the letter formation (particularly the word "Best"). Both inscriptions are lined up the same way.

At first I thought #1 was possibly not real, but having found #2, I've reconsidered.

Thoughts?

I believe both of these are genuine vintage examples.

Reminds me of Gleason - when writing to another "Jack" he would switch up his signature or make the recipients name in a different style, often the "J".

Etienne, Both look good to me. As I have said before Mr. Newman connected and disconnected his cursive handwriting at will. When he crossed the "T" it tended to drop at the end. His "s" could stand or lay down at the will of the author. He was one of a kind.
