Same even pressure with all.

Low starting bid prices aren't necessarily a red flag (I could explain why auctions do that, but it's long-winded). I just think these are fake for all the other reasons.

Yes, but a very low start on something like this is a good thing for newbies to consider. Like "Buy It Now" with free shipping. Often overpriced - if even authentic.

I had that promo photo signed by the Doors. It's my favorite band shot of them so I was stoked to get it for $750. Who did I buy it from? Unfortunately, Myron Ross. He told me he acquired it from the drummer of the Damn Yankees. Well, guess what? A year later, I used my media credentials to interview the drummer (his story appeared in this magazine back when it was on newsstands). Turns out he's a big autograph collector, but of baseball players (he had an amazing story involving Randy Johnson; find the article). He said, "I never...have owned an autographed picture of the Doors and if I did, I certainly wouldn't have sold it." I told this to Mr. Ross, who....then had a story change about how it could have been a different drummer, because he was in there with somebody else (again, that story didn't wash, because Michael Cartalone (sp?) would have remembered that story and told me. But to Myron's credit, he not only refunded me (telling me he'd have no problem selling it in the future), but I asked him to refund the $150 I spent framing it at Aaron Brothers (I got this amazing matt that looked marble, and had a '60s vibe). And he refunded me the price of that, too. I wonder who ended up ever buying that photo.

He was churning out poorly faked Titanic-related autographs in the mid 90's. There is a member here who swears by him (not at him!). :(
