I just want to bring attention to this and see what everyone's thoughts are. I came across 7 listing for Eltons Lockdown art card signed at auction, ending today. No cd included, just the art card. If you zoom in on the signature, they look really off to me. Barcodes can be faked easily, I won't mention how on a public forum. Its just a matter of finding the right photo quality cardstock to print on and basic photos photoshop skills. Please take a look at this sellers store.
(Sellers eBay ID at the time I created this post was nassa_cathe and has since been changed to nas_cat they are based in Los Angeles, CA Please help me report this guy to eBay as well as the FBI here : https://www.fbi.gov/ )
Also, search their sold items. This seller just sold a few Avril Lavigne art cards the same way, no cd included. Avril did sign a lot of these in a sloppy way but not as off as the ones this seller sold.
Take a look and let me know your thoughts. If art cards are now being forged including barcodes, casual collectors will be taken advantage of.

Agree that one looks off, even considering the haphazard/inconsistent nature of the sigs as a whole. The t and the n look especially weird for him.
Also agree it’s concerning that they could fake these so easily as you describe…because otherwise it looks legit, but I would have passed based on the sig.
I was worried about barcode stickers being recreated down the road. Im pretty certain its happening in this case. You are correct about the T and N. I could go into many aspects of why these signatures look off but ill let others chime in.
In case the ebay listings disappear, the sellers name is nassa_cathe
Ive added screenshots of all 7 to the original post above
This goes beyond a simple forging. It doesn't take long to recreate a barcode but getting the cardstock photo paper correct can be difficult to match. This is a premeditated process which makes this particular seller truly evil
Lot's of signs this is a fake. The seller has only 32 feedback, which could mean they were cancelled at one point and started a new seller profile. And although it doesn't always mean anything sinister when a seller makes all of their feedback private it does send up a red flag. They don't want anyone catching they sold 50 copies of the same item.
And on top of all of that this one is signed Eltan.
It's also missing his signature ribbon after Elton
this is no good. you can tell it’s slowly signed too . unbelievable
Looks suspect to me. The autographs are all too similar in placement and alignment.
In the US these came sealed inside the CD. Do those cards even have a barcode on the back, since the barcode was on the CD seal? Theoretically the seller could have imported these from the UK, where they were shipped separate, but then the barcode looks off from other examples I've seen. If he did he's selling them at a loss too, because you had to buy the CD and 3 cassettes which were not cheap in the UK and then the forwarding costs on top of that.
Cheap obvious forgeries.
I'm pretty certain this is both a reproduced art card with a reproduced barcode the seller meticulously created in order to forge Eltons signature. And forge it terribly
I also agree, I've seen 100's on these on eBay and none of them look remotely similar to the one's above. From what I've seen, he signs a bit larger and normally starts his signature closer to his face.
Do you know if there's a way to report this guy?
There are but eBay never does anything.
