It's a first come first served. The signed copies will be allocated in chronological order based on the date and time of purchase. So it's not guaranteed you will get a signed one.

EDIT: It's presumed to be SOLD OUT.

I respect you if you cancel it out of principle. I also agree this is not right but we all knew the deal in advance and we have to be prepared if it arrives not signed. But I think anyone who ordered it with the "signed" banner in the description have reasons to be optimistic.

It seems this is something they usually do (see comment from terry berry about Arsene Wenger's book) and we know they have limited the numbers they sold and we are in.

This is likely to be the only opportunity to get a signed book by Bono online.

I would appreciate it if everyone that ordered canceled theirs. This way it helps my chances of getting one.

Agreed. Call now. Operators are standing by.

I still think it'll show up on Waterstones closer to the time but let's see.

Since I missed out on BAM-I'm just going to have to bank on the fact that I think the main store for Eason's in Dublin is like 900m from the venue where he's doing his Dublin book event and it's his hometown. Maybe he stops by and signs a bunch.

Hi. I noticed this thread was made 3 Oct. I made an order for the book from Eason's already on 28 Sep and already then, the website stated "Pre-order a signed exclusive edition. While stocks last." So the signed book had been available for sometime already before this thread... I'm hoping everyone will get the signed book regardless if they ordered when the signed edition tag  was on the website. I also emailed Eason's after my order, and they answered there would be 300 signed books allocated by date and time of order.

would have been nice to have that earlier Eason's link up on this forum,

especially with some Oblong Books orders now getting canceled

Yeah, it would have been nice. I'm keeping my order anyway.

So 70/30 or maybe even 80/20 or 90/10 that I have a slightly overpriced, unsigned reading copy from Easons.   It is what it is. Luckily the dollar was strong against the Euro-so it's only a couple of bucks more than if I bought it locally.

Any chance you could post the ending digits of your order number so we can try to figure out some sort of cut off number?

Yeah why not, someone actually already messaged me about this. I don't think the order number tells you anything though, seems just a mix of random numbers and letters. Anyway, mine ends 87E6.
