Worst Artists Signatures (so you know who not to buy from in the future)

On the back of a bunch of really useful threads, especially the autopen artists, I thought it'd be nice to have in one place a list of poor signatures, lazy autographs or even dots (yes, you Lady Gaga). Please only write down the artist name and if it is a plain letter, ghost signed or just very lazy sig.

Lee Child and Andrew Child look like they sign for each other it's basically a L with a long line after and an A with the very similar line. Guess Child was too long to write out letters by book writers and a longer line was easier.

Worst signature in my collection is from Disasterpeace. That's it in the bottom right. Oof.

Maggie Rodgers very lazy!

it would probably be a shorter list to come up with those who give a good auto, sadly.

There are a few. Ronnie James Dio and Dave Holland (both RIP). Rob Halford, Steve Harris, Tony Iommi and Paul Stanley. Always good even if it is a quick street autograph.

Beg to differ. Have many Dio autographs and they are all super nice.

The trend of selling autographed items is going to kill the market. Autographs themselves, not just their authenticity will be rated. Many celebs will sign legibly and full names if you actually meet them. The mass market stuff is just a mess and floods the market.

Dolly and her autopens are an abomination. Really shameful for a legend.

Lady Gaga’s L Is another travesty.

You got an L? I didn’t even get that. Was the worst signature ever from Lady Gaga ever

I got a full signature from lady Gaga for the Love On Sale cd . And a real Dolly signature from an older release. Guess I’m lucky!!!

Katie Melua and Alec Benjamin - both awful

From literature: Nobel prize Mario Vargas Llosa who I met personally signed at my University just with MVLL and said to every one of us put the inscription/dedication yourselves.

Ha! That borders on punch-in-the-mouth-worthy ego display! Yet another terrific example set for the world by a Nobel Prize in Lirerature winner.
