Refund achieved. Seller changed her story about source. There is no previous sales record apart from Ford. Whatever Garry had re history was lost in a hard drive loss.  I was not comfortable with the "s" and the stuff I just mentioned. That and the thread here re Ford ending with his photo was helpful. I am keeping my signed Heathen, The promotional photograph is by Frank Ochenfels.

New:

I was at that gig, as well as being invited to watch the soundcheck in the afternoon.

These laminates were given out to everyone in the audience as part of a goodie bag.  They didn’t get you special access to the backstage area, or anything like that.

My freebie laminate, two unchecked tickets (my then-wife and I stayed in the venue after the soundcheck), plus my ticket stub for the A&E Live By Request recording on 15 June 2002:

Yes, I know. I just thought it was a nice addition.

No worries.  I often see these listed for sale as backstage passes, at inflated prices.  As long as you know what you’re buying, no problem.

Would this be a more interesting?

It’s certainly rarer.

I met Bowie backstage at Jones Beach on that tour, but I didn’t need a pass.

Here’s a very rare one from my collection, from the invite-only show in Dublin 1999.  Don’t think I’ve ever seen one of these for sale anywhere:

Thank you! :-)

Thanks again, same seller - an easy switch for the laminates.

Oh, that’s good!

You’re welcome.

:-)
