I believe it's a signed TTPD CD booklet affixed to a guitar as a pick guard.  Is this a normal practice? Would love your opinions on whether the autograph is real.

It’s legit, but severely compromised, IMO.

I wouldn’t say this is normal practice, no, but I’ve seen this sort of thing done before.  I’m not a fan of it.  Not sure who is, to be honest, except the dealers who come up with these things.  I’d rather have the undamaged art card than a cut attached to a cheap acoustic guitar.

I have only started looking at Taylor's sig so dont know mch about it but I certainly agree with Stepeanut, get an undamaged art card instead of this imo

I Agree I hate sellers who do that crap, I was in the market for a Bryan Cranston autograph and I can get one he actually signed on the card, not this stuff they Frankenstein together like this, horrible font choice just looks like crap in my opinion. They never handled it only the insert to that ruins it for me a little.

Taylor's autograph lo0ks A-OK to me. She's a pretty consistent signer and delivers an attractive autograph like the one you posted most of the time.

I think it's fine to mount a current autograph on a guitar as long as you make it clear that's what it is, even if you cut and shape what it's signed on.

But the owners of those baseball card companies that take vintage autographs like Babe or Gehrig and cut the autographs to fit on their cards should be taken out and shot.

The other issue with items like this is the markup.  They take a $50 art card, plus a $50 guitar, put the two together and charge anything from $500 up.  I’ve seen these things sell for over $1K.  It’s not like the guitar was ever in the presence of Taylor Swift, or played by her.  But gullible fans may be led to believe that.

Just buy an undamaged art card.  It’ll be much cheaper, and nicer.

I guess it's normal practice in that if you type in "Taylor Swift signed guitar" in to an Ebay search, this type of "signed guitar" is just about all you find. There are a ton of listings just like this. It's a gimmick at best but, to me, borders on fraud given that these sellers typically aren't transparent about the nature of their product.

Buy the CD instead. If you want to create some sort of display from it, you're free to do whatever you want. And it will almost certainly be cheaper than these shenanigans.

"I believe it's a signed TTPD CD booklet"

It WAS a signed TTPD booklet. Not anymore. Appears just cut parts of two pages now. I would not go near this swizz or anything like it.
