I am curious how the return is going?
No reply from the seller. Just started the formal ebay process. Thanks again for the links.
Another criminal exposed. Unfortunately becoming all too common in this hobby.
Most welcome. You should easily prevail.
All of these look printed using the same technique. Does anyone know how they do this?

I've had the good fortune of having some experience with Hemingway in the past. There is no doubt, in my mind at least, that the three you show are forgeries.
Your question here is a very good one regarding the ink. I'll share a bit more later regarding something that perhaps might be helpful if you were still interested in discussing the ink matter. I'm just winding down some New Year's Day festivities with friends🎉
p.s. Were these "signed" pages removed from the books or still bound in the books when you received them? If in the books, what editions, printings?
Eddy,
All the pages are still bound and appear to still be one piece with their counterpart. The editions are not remarkable. Old Man and the Sea "w" edition 1952. Green Hills of Africa 1954. Old Man and the Sea 1953 (illustrated).

I had somehow forgotten that I had introduced the thread linked below recently. You might find it interesting. It may not be the exact same process, but it shows that there are tricks being played with making modern forgeries using templates of real vintage autographs. I understand this has been done in areas like U.S. history, sports and classic rock for ages, but it's becoming an issue some of us who focus on classic Hollywood are starting to note in our particular area of interest as well.

Steve C. might have an answer. Reproductions of some kind. I agree they appear printed. There is no question these are spatially identical and that is impossible - were I still able to do overlays as in the past I could show it. I believe these were still bound in the books when you bought them from eBay?
Hi Eddy,
Did you find something about how these were produced? That would be interesting. The result appears much less technologically advanced than what we have seen with Beatles and Hendrix created signatures and even those pastiche from existing signatures.
Hi CJ,
You might find this thread on interest - the Bowie used here as an example of mechanical reproduction is a forgery. Yours are based on authentic examples. I also note the quality appears considerably higher in the link:
