On December 2, Julien's Auctions is selling The Collection of Tompkins and Bush. The collection contains 465 lots of Michael Jackson memorabilia, 287 of them autographed.

Michael Bush and the late Dennis Tompkins were Michael Jackson's costume designers for 25 years, during Jackson's most successful period. They were the consignors of the signed Thriller jacket that Julien's sold for $1,800,000 in June 2011.

Almost all of the autographs in the Tompkins and Bush sale are a variation I'm not familiar with. I've only been looking at Jackson's autograph for a few years, though, and we have members here who have collected him for decades, so I'd appreciate your input and exemplars.

If you know Michael Jackson's autograph well, please look at a few images below from the auction and let me know what you think. Even better, browse the auction and upload any similar examples you have: http://www.julienslive.com/view-auctions/catalog/id/77/

Julien's is the world's premier auction house for Michael Jackson memorabilia, so they would know his autograph better than most of us. I'm just surprised I haven't seen this style before.

Thanks for your help.

Taj, how do I do TwitLonger??
I want to ask Karen Faye if Michael ever stayed at Bush's house after Kleins and see what she thinks of Julien's claim. I already know he MJ didn't, but I want confirmation from someone "inside".

www.twitlonger.com click this link, sign in with your twitter account when prompted, be sure to put Karens user name @wingheart before you type you message.

Hi Sandy, Karen appeared only 3 months before his death, from 2005 til 2009, she wasn't around (neither bush)

those are fake autographs, no doubt, Michael never signed with this loop on the N. I have dozens of his autographs at home from 1997 until 2008. And i have dozens of friends who have also dozens of his autographs, and none of them looks alike those autographs. We are not talking of one or two items here, but almost ALL OF THEM...!!!

In one hand, if Michael Bush recognize them as fake or as an error it will discredit the whole auction

in the other hand if they (bush/Jullian) go on with the auction, they will face "forgery" charge and whoever is going to bid on every "fake" items will be entitled to enter a class action lawsuit against Jullian. MLB could even be investigated.

They better just cancel this scam.

My opinion is as usual : they always considered us as plain stupid fans (which tbh a lot are) and powerless, little did they know we knew MJ better than our own family, we created This is NOT it against AEG, we fought against Tommy Mottola (and had him kicked out of sony) and so on...

I have a connection at the LA Times and have just alerted them to this controversy.  I have a feeling they will be interested since they've done stories on Michael Jackson auctions before. If they publish a story about the forgeries this will surely stop the auction or severely limit the bidding as who would want to purchase items after that kind of press?  Sorry Julien's but prepare to reap what you have sown...

Great Bruce, I will do it as well.

And I am contacting Roger Friedman also...!

Who is Roger Friedman?

Let's hope he goes with the story!

Yeah I hope so, I just emailed him...!

What do you think of this signing? It also appears to be false right ?

I think that autograph is good.

Now we're questioning every single autograph, that is such a mess...

Now when there is an unreleased song, we are questioning ourselves if it is really Michael singing since the Cascio fiasco!!

And now we have to be careful on real/authentic autographs...??!??
