Rock and Roll Collection Concerns [Title revised by moderator]

I see this site brought up a lot on this site for autograph references.

http://www.rockandrollcollection.com/

problem is, who ever this Stephan is he has a load of forgeries up here too. I get messages from people from time to time saying he has offered to sell a member here an item or two and it is never the real stuff imo, it is usually the fake stuff. Greed. He wants money but doesn't want to part with the good stuff.

Eagles are his most famous work. Attached is a screen shot of his fake work (not limited too). Notice how they are the same..... duh. If you look through his stuff he has loads of fake Zeppelin, Beatles, Springsteen, Stones, Floyd and more. Even the so called authentic Traveling Wilbury's is not real. Maybe the George and Petty are ok but 100% not the Lynne and I'm pretty sure the Dylan is bogus also. Anyway, I don't wish to debat about this guy and his ethics but if you are using him a reference be careful and I wouldn't buy anything from the guy either.

Johnny Carson,

You called him a forger, so you need to use your real name, too.

Anything you write from this point will be deleted unless you do. Send me a phone number or your FB page so I can confirm your identity.

Thanks

I think it is only fair that N. STEIGER (Justin Maser) reveals his motives as he too has been accused on here of being a forger at one point. I also believe his eBay is sodoautographs, however I do not see anything out of line being sold. It is unfair to randomly call anyone a forger without proof. Mr. Duncan might have forged items unknowingly acquired but that doesn't make him a forger.

To rid the world of guys like this. He posts his real ones mixes in the fakes to try to legitimize them. The worst sellers on ebay are the ones that mix in real and fake items. It makes it hard to tell the good and bad and the context is gone. It's easier to tell is all the items a guy sells are fake or real as a group then to have to comb through and really look at each one. There is a reason the stuff he sells to you guys doesn't pass PSA. Its fake and Roger is a good dude but he makes mistakes. I have shown him forgers with studies like this and he has agreed with me before and If I did it again he would surely see that these Eagles are fake. Mr Duncan has a ton if real stuff, but he mixes in the fakes as well. Sorry to say.

I agree Christopher.  It is shameful.

Who does not think the title should be rewritten to take out the word forger?

Please rewrite it.

My .02 cents. I'd change it. It doesn't even have a question mark. It is not a fact. Not liking a signature or signatures and why, and actually stating who signed them and why, are simply two different things.

I don't like some signatures, some do, others don't. But to suggest it is fact when some of these items are not even decently scanned seems wrong. Further discussion will show what is what or not, and that's as it should be.

Eric

Steve, what would really help would be if you only showed the signatures that you actually obtained in person.  There are some on there that you stated were obtained from other sources, and some of them are highly questionable. Having a site with only IP autographs would be very helpful.

Title revised. Hope that works.

Thats a respectful title. At least Duncan has the balls to face the music unlike this Steiger bloke.

Paul. I wrote the post and said I wasn't going to debate it. It was just a public service announcement. Yet, here I am.... I am not the one on trial here. I am not selling fake crap.

Good call Steve.
