Oh very nice and classy!. was that from an auction?
Thanks Paul. I liked the mix of Beatles-associated autographs, so close to being perfect (if only Macca had signed!).
Just low balled an offer on these 7 original Star Trek cast member mail-ins from the 60's and the owner accepted.
They are all 5x7 and glossy black and white that I assume were sent to fans during the early incarnation of the show. They are still accompanied by the original letter sent out from Hollywood with 4 cent stamps.
I have several Shatner autographs and have never seen him give this full of a signature....ever.
They are a pretty interesting find...if you are familiar with Trek and have any insight, please offer.
Hello,
Standard studio 5x7 preprints. Nichols may not be - the blue of the ink will help. Koenig seems modern felt tip. The Nimoy certainly, the Shatner is a variant I believe, as is the Kelley (others read "with emotion") of the pre print. Having just looked at the enlargements (did not realize they were so large), they (Kirk, Spock, Scotty and Bones) are indeed the pre prints - the unusual stops and gaps - that blue.
Eric
Hello,
Yes, it should be obvious when in hand. The Koenig is modern felt tip for some reason, and the Nichols I have not seen before so I wont say "fact" but appears to be her studio preprint as well. The blue is a specific blue. For some reason Nimoy used this exact template until the early 1990's. It shows up often and sells as real frequently - probably one on eBay right now - usually ST2.
Eric
Edit to add: Yes, Several of these just closed in the last days and month for .99 and up including several Nimoy's and the Bones etc. - same "signature" but different 5x7. And a duo of Kirk and Spock with these same preprints closed on Nov. 8 as well.
