I just learned about this tragedy today. I've never watched "The Voice", but obviously she had talent and a bright future ahead. Only 22 years old! A life snuffed out by some POS. She was actually signing autographs when she was shot to death. What a tragedy.

+1. The discussion does have merit because of it being an autograph signing. The politics behind the discussion is another matter entirely that should be saved elsewhere in my opinion.
Stupid reply

Touchy subject and it can only create bad feelings here. If a person wants to kill though, you could outlaw all guns and they would still find a way!

That's right Ian, if someone wants to kill you, they will, so you just point to George Washington like we do in this country. It's really funny how "If someone really wants to kill you" doesnt seem to have the effect elsewhere as it does in this country. Guess no other country understands that laws aren't stipping them from killing each other. Or, you know, in the U.S. We let people with Asberger's buy guns because James Madison wanted them to.

Oh boy. They are gonna close this down. Anybody could drive a car through a crowd and take lots out as well as a myriad of ways to kill. We are a free society, I gotta go to Europe next month I'm worried about going over there!(Spain,France,Italy)

Xwiesy can't stop.

I don't blame him for being passionate about it. Its a terrible thing. Prayers for all those in the hospital to recover.

please keep the politics and personal views out of this site.

A terrible thing to happen to such a young person with a promising musical career and another mark against the autograph hobby as you'll probably see less artists do meet and greets and be willing to meet fans after shows. This venue that I live 5 minutes from was one of the easiest places to meet celebrities and many times artists would sit at a merch table after a show and sign for fans and now will probably be one of the hardest to meet celebrities and will forever have a black mark against it.

I've been to the Plaza Live and they didn't wand us that night. I presently work at a nightclub that holds 3000, and have been a bartender for 21 years in nightclubs. None I have worked have used metal detectors. Nightclubs across the globe have got to start doing a better job.

Hi - just stepping in lightly to say, no more discussions of gun control laws on this thread or the thread will be closed.   We all have our own feelings on this (and are very passionate about it too) but its not the place for it on our forum.   Thanks.
