John Lennon signed book

I posted a picture of this book earlier this week, but it was in a discussion titled, "Does anyone know who Gary Hein is?" Gary Hein is the gentleman who authenticated this book in 1999. He is the owner of Hein's Rare Collectibles. He is said to be a Beatles expert with nearly 40 years experience now.

So previously, my friends Paul and Ballroom gave the thumbs up, and Terrier commented on Hein's website, but said he wasn't questioning the authenticity. All three of these members have great credibility and are respected members of this site. And I thank them for their opinions.

Well, so now I have purchased the book! My first Lennon ever! I just bought it last night, so I have not yet received it.

So I would like to get as many opinions as possible. I hope I made a good purchase. I think I did.

So please opine away. There is a picture below. Thanks in advance.

And Terrier, did I get that right...that you think it is likely authentic?

Congrats! Nice book. Does Gary have any connection to Caiazzo because if he does you could try and get a coa from the man.

I believe that, Paul. I would love to have another one. If there is a single greatest music icon of all-time, John Lennon may be it. Or maybe it's The Beatles as a group, but if we're just talking one person, I don't think there's anyone above Lennon, in my mind.

I don't know Gary Hein, but I love this autograph! Big, bold and I think it was clearly signed by Lennon. Within reason, getting this properly framed would be well worth the money. It could add significantly to what you get for it when time comes to sell.

Want to talk to a framer who specializes in collectibles, but I was thinking something where most of the book is recessed into a thick Matt, so mostly only the spread with the Autographed page and the page facing it are shown. If you can get a vintage 73 photo to display with it, that could be really spectacular.

Of course, it has to be inert, with UV protection and everything else you need to keep it as nice as it is today.

There's a framer in Maryland as I recall, who is superb at framing memorabilia and protecting it. Particularly autographs and documents.

Thanks again, Steve. That's probably a little ways away. But I like the idea you've given me.

Also, the points you bring up about the autograph being large and bold really drew me to it. Not to mention the drawing.
