Hi, I was wondering if any of these Kobe Bryant autographs are authentic? Appreciate all opinions.

Trophy photo is a forgery. 2nd photo has a chance but would want to know when and where it was signed as it looks too neat. 3rd photo has some positives but not for me. The 4th one is fake and the final one is an Upper Deck card but the signature does not look authentic IMO

I believe the Ink-credible us authentic, and I believe the one above it is too.  And I agree the trophy one is fake.  I’ll have to take a closer look at the others later.

One thing I will say is that there is TREMENDOUS variation in even his authentic autographs...mainly in regard to his early years.  The way he signed high school yearbooks is vastly different from just after he was selected in the draft...and then there’s quite a bit of variation in how he was signing the first year or two when he was 17, 18, 19 years old.  In seems as though Kobe was trying to decide just how he wanted his autograph to look.  He signed A LOT of autographs with Score Board and Panini.

In 2002 alone, Steve Grad authenticated 15,000 Kobe autographs for PSA/DNA.  In earlier years when he was signing with Score Board, he would usually sign his last name too in some variation.

So there are TONS of real Kobe autographs out there.  You just have to be cautious.

To me, some of his basketballs are going for more than Jordan UDA ones which seems just crazy to me.  Some PSA/DNA ones are going for over $2000 - $2500 when about 10 days ago they could have been had for about $300 or so!

Fully agree, the prices are crazy and will spike again after his funeral so they have not yet hit their peak.

Ryan, the SGC item is authentic IMO. I've gone through again and the SGC card is real, trophy photo is fake, the next 2 I believe are authentic but would want details of when and where signed and the next 2 I believe are not real.

James is correct, he signed a lot and there are some real variations but the forgers seem to really struggle with the size, spacing and the K so many fakes are simple to spot

+3

I wouldn't touch any Kobe autographs right now. He did many many private signings and he was a very generous signer in public. His autographs are very plentiful. People are paying insane prices right now. If one were to wait a year many of his PSA/Beckett witnessed items will come back down to earth. Probably not where they were prior to his passing, but nowhere near where they are at now.

PLEASE HELP!!!! I NEED SOMEONE TO HELP ME AUTHENTICATE A KOBE AUTOGRAPH I WANT TO PURCHASE!!!!

You need a much clearer image

When does the seller claim it was signed?

I’m going to post some early Kobe autographs just to illustrate the extreme variation in early authentic Kobe autographs.
