And just an hour ago, I was seeing George and listening to my favorite Christmas song ever, "Do They Know It's Christmas Time?"

I saw him just a few years ago live. He still had the voice. Such a shame. Another taken by 2016.

If it's drug related, I'll have no sympathy. Musicians, in this day and age, surely know of the dangers. Yet they still go down this path.

Now...this might be one of those "too soon" moments, but...I immediately thought about something when I heard this news. Michael once bought the white piano John Lennon famously played/wrote IMAGINE on. He paid a million bucks for it. Soooooo.....what is going to happen to that?? I'm guessing it'll fetch a cool $4 million.

I've been listening to George Michael's music all day. He had many, many great songs. His song with Wham, "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" was so much fun and was such a huge hit and great dance song when I was in college at the University of Kansas. In 1987/88 I remember dancing to his song "Faith" and "I Want Your Sex" in the dance clubs in Seville, Spain when I studied abroad for a year. Another of his songs that I loved so much is "Careless Whisper". He was a such a great talent.

Wham's song "Wake Me Up" is so energizing, yet at the same time, it is now so sad seeing him wearing a shirt that says "Choose Life"...when unfortunately, he no longer has that option. What a loss.

so sad; - saw him in concert a couple of times.  He was so talented;- and to think that he composed Careless whisper when he was only a teenager.
