Came across the PSA letter from 2004 and the font looks different on the top where it says "LETTER OF AUTHENTICITY" could it be fake? Any opinions would be appreciated.

Steve.....did this change in operating policy (not getting an Auction LOA) but instead having a short window  to send it in for a full LOA of COA mean higher profits for the authenticators ??

I'm trying to figure out why they did this ?? Pure profit ??

Don,

As I understand it, they stopped offering auction LOAs because they did not have images, so were often used to sell forgeries.

This is a prime example of why the forgery business is so huge.

The scammers know that it is very easy to scam people.

It's unfortunate, but you can't save people from themselves.

There is a wealth of information on this site and yet people continue to allow themselves to get scammed.

Yes, that PSA LOA you posted is fake. (Signatures of the authenticators don't match and it's not a "signature cut" as the PSA database says.  But you can get your money back even if you only used Paypal to purchase it (as long as you didn't send the money as a "gift" or "send money to family and friends")    How did you pay for it Gio?  (And how long ago?)

Bruce, I sent the money through goods and services. Do  you know if its important to fill out the notes section when you pay? Like should I have put " for Elvis PSA Autograph" I mean how does Paypal know what item it is if I leave it blank. I paid this morning.

I have been talking to the seller from Spain and he told me this:

"I can refund you now, but I will lose $50 in paypal fees. who pays me?"

"When you received money in Spain via paypal from an international seller that have paid you in USD, Paypal convert the USD in EUR automatically, and they charge a fee, in this case of $50."

As long as he refunds the initial transaction and does not just send you the amount of the refund, all fees should be reversed as well.

Can you share a link to the seller's auctions?

I just opened a Claim against him because he keeps postponing my refund. What information should I post from him?

You can post the actual link to the auction.

The Seller stopped answering me, he can't be trusted so I'm just going to deal with it through Paypal. Here is the link to the listing. http://www.ebay.com/itm/262319426922?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&a...

The seller had a zero rating as well. Another red flag!!

I was really blinded by this transaction. Damn you Elvis!
