Paid for the PSA quick peek and it came back "Likely not authentic" but they don't say why they think that.

I had an agent from the Attorney Generals Office of Pennsylvania call me this afternoon. Mew had a lengthy conversation regarding Gridiron. According to him, there have only been a handful of complaints against Gridiron, so with so few, they don't consider it a serious issue. I explained to him our concerns and he suggested that we get as many people as we can to file complaints witch his office and he will happily take action against them.

Well Folks,

This has definitely got my attention.  I am currently bidding on a Ken Stabler football and am now quite worried about its authenticity.  The football is pictured in the link below:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/370739871898?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&...

The seller is not Gridiron Authentics but they have stated that is where the ball is from.  The seller has 100% feedback but may not know about Gridiron's reputation.  I am about to e-mail the seller and notify them that that if I do happen to win the ball I will most assuredly have it authenticated by a thirdy party, more than likely JSA.  I would hope it would pass but now I am not so sure...I may just let it go if someone outbids me.

That Ken Stabler is not real for sure. Beyond the fact that GA sells junk, the signature is way off. It's a forgery.

The tings wrong with that Stabler Ball are K and S are completely wrong. The slant is way off and it looks slowly drawn. Not a chance it is real.

Those are the letters I have been questioning, actually.  There are several examples of Stabler autographs that have been certified by JSA and this autograph isn't matching up.

Fortunately I have been outbid so I think I will simply leave it alone.

as I see them consistently re-list the same fake items they sold to me, I will continue to flag them and report them to eBay.  You guys should do the same, if they get enough complaints on authenticity maybe they will FINALLY get kicked off eBay

Hey guys,

Love the discussion and wanted to thank you!  I just won 4 mini helmet auctions on Ebay from the 'company who shall not be named'  I did some reading on here and contacted them about it before I payed.  We are coming up on day three with no word from them.  Needless to say I will not be paying for the items!!  Keep us informed as to how things go with the lawsuit.  I am just happy I did a little research before paying for what ended up being to good to be true!

I finally got reimbursed my $1,200 plus that Gridiron owed me for the fake items.  It took the Pennsylvania Attorney Generals Office, a complaint with the FBI, and my contacting over 100 people who purchased from them to get this done.  I am not turning the cheek however and will continue to make people aware and pursue legal recourse against them by involving the athletes themselves.

Nice going, Steve!!!!

Good for you, I wish more people were alerted to the rip off artists out there. The forgers out there are getting away with robbery. I wish the police and media looked into these things more seriously, especially that so called coaches corner. Thank you to Steve and this website.

I now noticed that there is a company called Red Zone Authentics and they are selling some of the exact same forgeries that Gridiron is selling.  There is a Joe Namath that is absolutely identical, the weird looking m in Namath is a dead giveaway.

Yeah, I noticed Red Zone's garbage years ago but never realized that it looked to be from the same stock as Gridiron.
