Christopher, there's an eBay seller, "nickcharles", who has been selling, or attempting to sell, several JFK items. I actually purchased a large print from him that was said to have been signed by JFK. I went ahead and bought the item after doing research and finding that that same JFK style had sold through Christie's and another big auction house about 5 to 8 years ago. So I thought I was okay.

Well, as it turned out, the one I bought, as well as the JFK photo sold at Christie's, was signed by JFK's secretary Jill Cowan. I discovered this with the help of AML member, James Stone, and Charles Hamilton's book on JFK signatures.

So I asked for a refund, and the seller agreed, which was good on his part. I thought I would give him the benefit of the doubt, even though he says he's been a JFK collector for 50 years. He has actually sold several non-autograph JFK items through Heritage. And he is supposedly either a psychologist or psychiatrist. His name is Dr. Dean Rudoy, and Heritage Auctions even did a video that is on YouTube titled, "The Kennedy Collection of Dean William Rudoy".

However, since I got my refund, I've noticed that he has had several signed JFK items up for sale. He always states that "to the best of my ability to discern, the seller believes that this item was signed by John F. Kennedy".

The problem is that to the best of MY ability to discern, his stuff is crap, and he sometimes uses DREW MAX to authenticate! Also, he now states that he will not allow for returns!

Sadly, Dr. Rudoy just sold a small JFK signed photo. It looks like an instant Polaroid with a somewhat faded signature. He offered it for $425, and sold it for $284. I highly-doubt it's authentic.
