Coach's Corner (www.myccsa.com) is one of the largest monthly auctions of sports autographs, trading cards and memorabilia. They sell non-sports items as well.
Let's talk about it!

Yeah it sucks Paul. Was worth a shot. Like I said earlier most of the problem is most police and news agencies just don’t understand autographs and authenticity issues. So it’s very difficult to rely on their help. Courts are the same. The experts(TPA) you try to get to help actually do more harm then good because they are all so goofy and many uneducated but try and convince people how smart they are on autographs. Just for a news agency to do a story there is so much legwork and prep work to the story to get the public to understand the whole forgery thing.complicated for those not in the autograph world.
I've walked in your shoes except with another company. I know how much effort is involved. I went to AAFES and had to mess with them for over a year, might have been almost 2 years about authentications of autographs and forgeries. I don’t think even after all that they ever really understood it.
Nice try though. Sucks you had to learn the hard way. That’s a lot of money and I feel for you.
I used to watch your YouTube videos too. They were awesome.
Thank you, Rick.
Paul, the local police, as you have just learned, don't give a crap. The best way is to contact the Attorney Generals Office and file a complaint. I did it in Pennsylvania several years ago and was able to get reimbursed by the crooks from Gridiron Authentics.
Did the check come from Gridiron?
OK Fellas. My last hope was the Souderton Police. They just called. Nothing they can do. I'm at the end of my ideas. I lost some money, nothing more I can do.
This whole story is a just a real shame. It is basically telling us that "the individual simply doesn't matter." I would like to know just how many people need to be ripped off before the authorities take notice? Two People? Two hundred people? A class action? What can the individual do? This company only wants money. They sure don't want to be known as a company who sells reliable and genuine autographs. Spread the word on these creeps. They are polluting the hobby and ruining it for the "good guys." Until these jerks are gone the people who sell genuine autographs are going to be painted with their tainted brush (to some degree). Just a big 'ole shame.
Yep what a shame. Got just as far as many before you.
Just no interest in these cases. Bet they said it was a civil matter.
"Shipping fraudulent merchandise through the U.S. Postal Service is a felony.
“The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is committed to protecting the public’s full confidence in the U.S. mail system by actively pursuing individuals seeking to use the U.S. mail in furtherance of any scheme devised to defraud the public,” said U.S. Postal Inspector-in-Charge Teresa Thome of the Philadelphia Division."
Wonder if this "Teresa Thome" still works there? This was after a bust for selling autograph forgeries in Pennsylvania a few years back.
"If convicted of all charges, Smith faces a maximum possible sentence of 80 years imprisonment, a $1 million fine, 12 years of supervised release, a $400 statutory assessment, and restitution."
Result:
"An Exeter Township man has been sentenced to 33 months in federal prison on wire and mail fraud charges for forging the signatures of famous authors and selling copies of their books online.
Forrest R. Smith, III, 48, of Wister Way also was ordered Monday by U.S. District Court Judge Mitchell S. Goldberg to pay $120,000 in restitution. A more specific address was unavailable.
Smith pleaded guilty in May 2009 to three counts of wire fraud and one count of mail fraud."
Good job, Joe! I remember that case.
This is why Coach's Corner only uses UPS.
