Check out www.legactcollection.net for the truth about these guitars. The legacy collection and Elite Productions, and Swartz Appraisals are all phony companies. Paul Miller(?) is the man behind all these. He runs ad's in local newspapers selling autographed guitars for $400 that have an appraisal of $2400-6000. He'll take a credit card and deliver the guitars as promised. But, 9 months later he'll use your card # to run an ad in another newspaper, selling the same bogus guitars. He's done this across the country and is currently being investigated by several attorney generals of different states. BEWARE !

J.R.S.

I put the www.legacycollectiononline.net site up.  They have changed the company name to www.thelegacyhall.com.  if you have been scamed by these guys please send me an email at legacyscam@tahoo.com so i can get your name on a victims list.  I can also get you in contact with the Attorney Generals office who is leading the investigation.

Hi

Do these guys do business by other names? I am caught in possible scenario with a company out of Florida www.thesignaturegallery.info guys name is Tom and claims the guitars are authentic, hand signed with dual COA witnessed at live signings and signed appraisals. COAs are from a company supposedly out of Los Angeles named Legendary Productions
http://www.legendaryproductionworks.com/

Any insight?

Thanks

Michael,

I'm sorry to hear about your problem. Let's see the guitars.

Legendary Productions claims they're the world's top private signing companies, or something to that effect, but I don't know of anyone in the legitimate industry that does business with them.

Nothing I saw on The Signature Gallery's website looked genuine to me. What brand of guitar are they, S-101? Quite likely them or another brand with no serial numbers or perhaps even lot numbers on them. Not always the case, but often so.

Thanks Steve - the guitars are a mix of Fender, Eleca and California... Good news is I haven't given them the money yet so I have time to run for the hills if they are not legit. The Clapton guitar on the site which is a black Fender looked like it might be the real thing and the Stones looked close to other ones I've seen on display, but I am far from an expert

Michael,

Do you have images of items you reserved or purchased, or are you just looking for opinions on their autographs in general? I'd appreciate it if you uploaded images of the ones you want so members can comment on those specifically.

@ken appears that both of these web sites have disappeared;

Sorry, the website www.legactcollection.net cannot be found

Sorry, the website www.thelegacyhall.com cannot be found

related discussion.   Methinks I'll take some time on these "appraisers" as obviously they don't seem to be getting it right based on this and the above thread.

It's obvious that the appraisers and authenticators they generally use know exactly what they're doing: authenticating forgeries as genuine. The autographs are rarely even close.

perhaps obvious to some and not so obvious to many who apparently have purchased these items.

I don't think we can simply throw rocks at them without more factual information on even if it does appear a level of incompetence on authenticating certain items.  Do they even exist or do we have another Burczyk operation?;

Schwartz & Sons Appraisers, 3023 N.Clark St. Chicago Ill 60687 312 569 8878 specialing in memorabilia appraisal since 1994.

e.g.  they don't seem to be affiliated with the BBB out of chicago Illinois.   Now that appears factual.
