I don't like the a in Dimaggio. The loops don't seem to match up if you follow them from the m into the a.
Looks slowly drawn. I would avoid.
I agree. The feathering of the ink is uneven, indicating stoppages or slowing as the ink is dispensed into the track. Also, it's a 2-part 'M'. The M starts, stops, the pen lifted, and then the track continues with a second stroke from the wrong direction, and clearly not part of the original path of the start of the M. Who goes back and corrects a signature? Or stops in the middle of a letter, lifts, and then begins again at that point, trying to align it all, but missing the mark?
How much credibility does PSA DNA Quick Opinion have? They came back with “likely genuine”
I would stay away from this, the a in DiMaggio is driving me crazy. It looks like an extra loop was added and it doesn’t line up with the flow from the m or into the g.
Another point where the pen was lifted, the track halted, and then a restart, right in the middle of the 'a', which does make it appear like it has an extra 270 degrees of loop in there.
The whole thing looks strange to me, and I'm not a DiMaggio guy like some here are. My commentary is more based on the track. The whole thing looks shaky, hesitant and drawn, in it's entirety, start to finish really, not just each element individually, but the whole compositional flow. Looks unnatural to me. Certainly not like the signature of someone who's written his name a million times.
