It is fun getting your teeth mule kicked in with a 200 forgery.

I think you should study dimaggio for a couple weeks and then venture out and you might just find a NO Cert or legitimate scoreboard for 250-300. Avoid any balls for now that don't have PSA, JSA until you get a little better.

Seriously though study then buy and enjoy!

Letgo is good advice on an autograph posted there.

And any autograph I've ever seen on Offerup ended up being a strikeout.

You've got a decent chance of eventually finding a genuine uncertified DiMaggio ball on eBay in the $250 range, but it probably won't be a nice example at that.

LOL, Offer up, letgo, ...this is hilarious. Please stop shopping there as obviously they have nothing but fakes and E-bay promotes forgeries. I know it's hard but just stop it. These 3 balls are all equally putrid.

I have three authentic DiMaggio signed baseballs and I never paid more than $200. They are available on eBay on occasion, but you need to be patient, know the signature, and move quickly when one appears.

I appreciate the advice, even though a lot of it came from a condescending place.

i agree a lot of the autographs on those sites are fakes, but there are quite a few that aren’t.  When you stumble across the real deal, it’s pretty fun.  (Attached are 3 Mantles I’ve gotten courtesy of LetGo and Facebook Marketplace — paid $75, $120 and $220).  So they’re out there.

As for learning, it’s more of a journey for me.  I’m trying to learn as I go along.   Experience seems to be a better teacher than “studying for a few weeks”.

nice mantle's

The very white one was a helluva sweet price at 225 for that quality!  But heck, 75 for any Mantle is insane, and that one’s not bad at all...to me that would be maybe a 250 one normally.  Nice deals!

Thanks!  I saw that one but avoided it based on Paul Goldin/Scoreboard’s checkered past... but it’s legit?

All three are bad.  As mentioned already, the first one is the worst.

D R, here’s one on eBay signed boldly for $275 OBO.  You can make an offer.  It’s got a Global COA...which I would normally avoid; however, Global or not it’s AUTHENTIC!!

Here’s the link.

That’s a beauty. On a MacPhail ball too.

While authentic, I think I've seen that same exact ball for years and years. I guess it's priced high for the fading sharpie sig. All in all, It is nice and hard to find on a McPhail ball, I would peel the GAI tag off immediately. LOL I'm probably one of a few that actually like sharpie on a ball. a couple of nice Mantle balls, especially the last milky bright white one!
