A terrible loss of a great American.

In the Fall Space Auction, RR is offering this amazing "first step" image signed.

So, it took about a week before the first fake knockoff appeared. A $5,000 autograph starting at 99 cents with no reserve. Sound like a big red flag?

This one looks strange to me:

Hi Lev!

Utterly ghastly. 14 bids? Who would bid on this rubbish?

Holy crap!!!  What a piece of garbage by Ebay seller "nickanthony10."

Yikes!!!!  Here it is.

It's been removed.

My Neil Armstrong Autograph. I got this through the mail in 1984.

I purchased a montage of 11 of the moonwalkers at an auction in the UK. I would value anyones opinion on the Neil Armstrong signature. I am particularly concerned about the dots that appear under the ink.

Alan,

Could you post a clearer image please? The one you uploaded is too blurry to do truly dependable authentication.

Thanks

Steve is this any better if not will try tomorrow in daylight. What are the dots is it the pen?

Appeciated

Alan

The dots initially had me concerned because I suspected it was some sort of tracing. But looking at it now, it just appears to be a weird effect of the pen skipping at high speed. Can't be certain from the image, but I presume it is ballpoint?

I'd like to see a crisp, high res scan or in-hand to be more definitive. But, presuming it is not some sort of copy, I think it is likely authentic.

Beautiful, Stephen! I'm not an expert, but that looks great to me.
