OK I hear all the stories, especially when it comes to entertainment autographs, but I am getting tired of PSA these days. This just came back from PSA as not genuine and so I had Roger take a peek and he told me that it is perfectly good. (I got it from Brad Byrne who gets everything signed in front of him.)
Ugh... This keeps happening more and more and it's simply frustrating. It's a shame that PSA gets the best resale value still when they are seemingly having issues over there.

If you know it is authentic, why waste money sending it to PSA/DNA?
Exactly Ryan. Kevin, did Roger issue a COA or did he just "take a peek" as a courtesy?
Well, I like to get the JSA or PSA just for resale value should I ever need it.
the whole idea of paying money to a TPA for an "opinion" of something that was obtained in person from a reliable source baffles me. I am not sure the resale value with a PSA or JSA sticker is what it was a couple of years ago, and the gap seems to be getting smaller.
Agreed Terrier.
Any insight as to why they rejected it? Is it a bad/rushed example? Sure doesn't look like it.
Nope just the standard stuff. Who knows, just got it back and I'm sure most of their staff is at the National Collector's convention in Chicago.
Wow Kevin, that is a very interesting and legitimate observation.
Which brings me to this question: is it ever OK to take an autograph that "failed" one TPA, and just resubmit it to the other? I know dealers who got a "fail" from PSA on stuff, who just turned right around and submitted the same stuff to JSA a few weeks later, and it passed. I don't understand it either, sometimes, especially when they use virtually the same group of folks to help authenticate things.
If you know it's authentic (or even got it yourself), then I'd say yes.
Hmmm.....I thought they did. I must say that I did have Reznikoff's name in mind when I posted that comment! :)
