Could everyone please look at this and render input on if you think this is a secretarial and why?

I'm on the fence right now, but leaning toward secretary, due to the second R in context of other concerns.

I do not believe this is a secretarial signature.

Not sure what era this was signed. I do know that Reagan's Mother signed for him during his Hollywood Days. I do know he rarely signed anything through the mail and was a tough signer.

Do you have a resource of his mother's signature as an example? It was during his Hollywood days, sobit's certainly possible.

Unfortunately, I do not. I read a signature study about 10 years ago or longer and it showed his Mother's signature of him. It looks quite similar to his. But, I do remember that, she signed for most of his TTM requests in the early years of his career. According to the study anyway. Can't remember if it was in the Manuscript Society or the UACC magazine they produced at that time, but one of those I believe.

RR Auction has a Reagan signature study by Bill White: http://www.rrauction.com/reagan.cfm

I believe the UACC also published this at one time, but I can't seem to track it down now.

Great R&R study.  The year he died (cant remember if before or after) I ordered a signed copy of his book from his official library.  It came signed on an attached bookplate.  Always wonder about Presidential autographs TTM, but figuring this was real since it was from the official library.  Anyone have thoughts on it?

Thanks Steve. I had looked at the page originally, which is what made me think secretarial... but the time frame seems a bit off from that, since I think the photo pre-dates his time as governor.
