RIP Ms. Moore.

Not only a wonderful actress but great humanitarian bringing greater awareness of diabetes.  She certainly will be missed.

When I was in junior high, I would love coming home from school and watching re-runs of The Mary Tyler Moore Show...as well as Dick Van Dyke. I loved the intro song to MTMS. It was so catchy and it immediately put you in a good mood. Mary Tyler Moore may have been my first TV crush. I always thought she was so pretty.

When I was in Junior High, her shows were on once a week in the evening.

Oh yeah...I'm old enough that the show was still on in prime time once a week as well. It was one of my favorite shows back then. I can still remember watching the last episode when they all refused to let go of each other as they were trying to go out the door.

As for re-runs, I believe they began showing them in the afternoon even when the show was still a weekly hit. Unless, I don't remember correctly. And it could have been when I was in high school that they start showing re-runs in the afternoon. But I think it was while I was in junior high.
