Ebay terminated my auction, stating my COA wasn't an approved source!!!!

My Epperson COA item was removed twice in two days.  After calling twice the Ebay gentlemen told me that Epperson is not an approved Ebay authenticator and all items with his COA are in the process of being removed.  Say what?! Those are the only ones I buy these days.  Anybody know what's going on?

It would be best if eBay stayed out of it entirely, because it seems what little action they do take, tends to be WRONG!

Honestly, it needs to be clarified as purchase at your own discretion on ebay. Due your own due diligence.

100% feedback doesn't mean the seller is trustworthy, Just because an item doesn't have a coa it doesn't make it fake, and just because it has PSA it doesn't mean it is real either.

You already have a lot of protection as a buyer via paypal or your credit cards. There has to be more responsibility on the buyer to do the research.

Unfortunately there are way to many hands in the cookie jar to trust ebay and their approved authenticators on merrit alone.

Education Is needed before you start buying autographs just like you would get educated before buying a car.

EBay doesn’t get opinions from their approved authenticators as far as I know. And the EMR program is long gone.

Maybe Alexander Mehl can shed some light on how things like this work.

great update John and your efforts are to be commended

Joe W. makes a good point in that maybe you should post it here for sale

Good luck

When all-of-a-sudden does Ebay employ "experts."

What about the those same "experts" allowing the tens of thousands of "Florida" forgeries to be listed and sold.

I did a google search on "ebay authentication experts" and this is what came up:

I'd take the Three Stooges over those clowns at Ebay anytime.

I know ebay is trying to get new revuenue all the time

maybe there going to roll out a new standard were if u don't have it authenticated by one of there companies  it wont be listed.

just like at one time u need to accept paypal to sell on ebay
