Hi guys, thanks for the help previously. I chanced upon these Star Wars The Force Awakens cast signed posters on ebay. Apparently these were given out to VIPs at the Premiere event in LA. I have a chance to get something similar but of a different serial number and would thus like to ask for opinions as to its authenticity before committing.

The Mark Hamill autograph looks off to me.

Appreciate the help!

They even have a screen seen X-wing going for 150,000. Also a Guardians of the Halaxy and a dead-lol cast signed I was looking at. The Mark Hammil looked "off". Even lanyards and all access passes included!!

It's most definitely fake.

Almost all the Star Wars autographs listed in their auction are fake: http://www.invaluable.com/star-wars-memorabilia/sc-2RRONNYCCR/

I do not think they are very reputable.

Mike T,

Be careful: The link you posted covered several auction houses. The only Profiles in History ones I saw were The Force Awakens #1232 and Dead Pool #1495.

The TFA has a Walt Disney Pictures COA and The Dead Pool a Marvel COA. No doubt those are what Profiles depended on.

Ah ok, so this is just an auction aggregator. Regardless, both posters from Profiles in History are very fake, and the COAs are equally as fake. These are sold by the dozen on ebay and has been an ongoing scam for many years.

Makes me sick. Thanks so much. Saved my butt.

PIH contacted me late Friday about some Michael Jackson signed drawings in the auction that a collector said were not real and pulled them Tuesday morning once we said we agreed.

They asked me about another Michael Jackson piece Tuesday and I had it checked out and we agreed it was likely not genuine. They'll pull that.

If the posters have fake COAs and are clealy not genuine, send me info about them and I'll forward them to Profiles. They're a reputable outfit that cares about authenticity.

I just pulled my bids on all of those I sent links of. I made them aware I found the exact TFA's poster that was at one time listed on eBay and then asked about in this thread. I had only received their catalog this morning and thought it was too good to be true. The Marvel ones are just as shocking.

Thanks soooo much guys

Jeff

There's been a ton of topics on these premiere posters:

The signatures are very, very bad. Disney/Marvel do not issue signed posters to VIPs at movie premieres and they do not issue COAs with holograms and stamps.

You agree the Deadpool is fake too? They have that, an age of Ultron and a Guardians poster all listed within 20 lots of TFA's. All claim to have studio COA andMarvel holographic seal on the front. ;(

Yes, there is no such thing as studio COAs/holograms/stamps/VIP posters/Premiere posters. They are all fake.

Do you think these are fake too? I can't believe an auction house with that reputation would sell these??? Holy smokes

Thanks Mike!!
