I decided to start a new thread so everyone could see the results without digging

looks like they failed it for Baseline, and age of ink, irregular letter formation..

time to get my refund and report Kevin Martin to as many legal entities as I can, doubt it will do any good

Love of kids and dogs, James!  This photo taken in 1925 at spring training in St. Petersburg, Fl.

I am with James.

That wouldn't bother me a bit.

It's all "The Babe's" handwriting.

Didn't we discuss these baselines the other day on the phone?

I don't remember, maybe Woody does.

I think the issue is the baselines are laser straight and lack the loose "bounce" we'd expect to see. Not that "Sincerely" and "Babe Ruth" baselines are not perfectly parallel.

I believe you are correct Steve.  But when it was brought up during the discussion, (a flat baseline being a flag) I pointed out that this one had a flat baseline, but there was a disagreement on that point.

All the characters on a flat baseline is bad, All the characters aren’t on a completely flat baseline like other forgeries I’ve seen. Even some passed by PSA. I’ve seen some you could put a ruler under and it be perfectly straight that they passed.

That’s what I argued with you.

my apologies though

no problem, I commented (kiddingly) I must have been using a crooked ruler

Perhaps I was a little biased..

Actually, I think it could be both reasons.

Yes, after discussing it with you I had serious doubts and was expecting this.

Me too. At least it is over. :)
