Nice pickups. (All three).

The other Atwoods arrived today too. I noted that the UK edition is very slightly larger than the Canadian edition. These make 6 signed works so far in 2023 -- hoping to get another 8 signed by her in May.

signed on 5/20/66 either coming to or leaving the park to shoot the paperback writer/rain promo video.

bought this from the gentleman Ballroom!

really nice one

Thank you!

Fantastic! I can even see his fat lip!

Thank you!

Nico/Open Arms — 29 July 1982, On Broadway Theatre Nightclub, San Francisco, CA, 8 1/2” x 14” poster, in EX condition, signed and dedicated by Nico:

The dedication reads, “To Stephen, do or die, Nico.”

The original recipient was the Bay Area writer and artist Stephen Ronan, but the fact that I share the same name is definitely part of the appeal.

Genuine Nico autographs are very rare, and this one has impeccable provenance.

Congrats Stephen. That’s a beauty and what luck to have it inscribed to “you”!

Cheers, Tom!

The poster just by itself is very rare, as the gig was sparsely attended.  I’ve only ever seen one other example for sale: unsigned and with tears at all four corners.

And, of course, genuine Nico autographs, with good provenance, are like hen’s teeth.  As a massive Velvets fan, I’ve been looking to add one to my collection for a while.  This poster seemed fated to come to me.  I know the contrast isn’t the best, but I can forgive that for all the other positive attributes this piece has.

It’s gorgeous. I have a friend who met her in the 80s and had her sign every album up to Camera Obscura. I pester him about them all the time. If he ever sells them to me, I’ll be in touch.

Yes, very nice indeed. I saw Nico several times in London in the 1980s and took some pretty decent black & white photos of her at one of the gigs.

I also saw her in a tiny ex-bingo hall in my home town of Norwich. She turned up very late and I think under the influence of something. Who were her support band? None other than a fairly unknown indie band called "The Smiths"!

Needless to say, I never thought of asking for autographs from Nico, The Smiths nor any of the many other bands I saw back then.
