hello guys.. I am NOT a sports collector..more in the Entertainment genre. However, I have an old Johnny Unitas signed football still in the box, that I am interested in selling. I have checked other similar balls on auction sites so I am aware of approximate value. I don't have any COA with this ball as it was obtained by a very dear friend of mine that passed away 2 years ago. I know the story how she obtained the ball..and I know it it real. Any suggestions how to sell..and for how much. the box has slight wear to the corners but the ball looks FANTASTIC!! and the signature is strong still and signed in silver marker. What do you guys think?

Today's mail brought me the autograph of former University of South Carolina quarterback, Mike Hold. Mike was the trigger man for that legendary "Black Magic" team of 1984, who beat Georgia, Florida State, Notre Dame, and Clemson, on their way to a 10-2 record and a #9 national ranking.

Today's mail brought me the autograph on former Dodger great, Maury Wills. Maury was a 5-time National League All-Star and 2-time Gold Glove winner at shortstop. He was the 1962 NL MVP after stealing a record 104 bases and hitting .299 for the season. His career batting average and hits totals are higher than those of Hall of Fame shortstops Dave Bancroft, Phil Rizzuto, Joe Tinker, and John Montgomery Ward. Why this man has not received his due in the Baseball Hall of Fame is an absolute travisty.

Today's mail brought me the autograph of Hall of Fame quarterback from the Chargers, Dan Fouts. Dan quarterbacked the Chargers from 1973 - 1987, and was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1993. He was a 3-time First Team All-Pro selection, and was the MVP of the 1983 Pro Bowl. He set the single season passing yardage record in 1979, then broke his own record in 1980, then broke it again in 1981! Talk about total dominance. I have never heard of anybody in sports duplicating that feat.

Today's mail brought me the autograph of former Florida State Seminole receiver, Darrin Holloman. Darrin was one of the little guys who always made a big difference in games. He scored the game-tying 2 point conversion on the 1984 Citrus Bowl against Georgia, and teamed with his brother Tanner and runningback Samie Smith to rush for 288 against Indiana in the 1986 All-American Bowl victory. Nobody was better at running the reverse play than Darrin.

I went to Walmart this evening and picked up a retail box of 2011 Sage Hit. Got signed cards of Curtis Brown and Armand Robinson.

Today's mail brought me the autograph of Pro Football Hall of Fame linebacker, Joe Schmidt. Joe played for the Detroit Lions from 1953 - 1965, and directed them to the NFL Championship in 1953 and 1957. He was an 8-time First Team All-Pro selection.

Today's mail brought me the autograph of Pro Football Hall of Famer, Willie Davis. Willie was a stalwart defensive end for those Green Bay Packer NFL championship teams of the 1960s. He was a 5-time 1st team All-Pro.
