Actress Patricia Neal has passed...R.I.P

I was never able to meet actress Patricia Neal, but I did mail off some of my photos to her just a couple months ago for her to autograph for me. She did indeed sign some great pics I sent to her from The Day the Earth Stood Still and The Fountainhead!

I will post those hand signed photos she sent back to me in my SASE, here soon. She was a wonderful actress.

The Sci-Fi Genre Shore Leave convention in Baltimore Last Weekend was Grand!

I attended via press pass the very awesome Shore leave conention here in Baltimore, my home town during last weekend , July 9-11 2010. This is a fan run convention and run very well indeed!

I was also able to interview Edward James Olmos, Kevin Sorbo, Torri Higginson, Catherine Hicks, and Dominic Keating! They also singed quite a few autographs for me and I will post those photos here soon!!!

R.I.P. Dennis Hopper

Now actor, Dennis Hopper has passed on! I never met him, but I do own his autograph I traded a dealer with for one that I owned. First Gary Coleman now Dennis.....who will round it out to make celeb death number three????

R.I.P Frank Frazetta, Sci-fi Fantasy artist

It is sad to know that Fantasy and genre artist Frank Frazetta has passed away at age 82.

He was a famous artist and icon in our culture, especially those of Sci-Fi Fantasy and Horror!

I got celebrity interviews and autographs galore at the Chiller show this past weekend!!

I was quite lucky at the Chiller convention in NJ. this past weekend on April 18th 2010.

I interviewed, Rita Moreno, Robert Carradine, Sally Kellerman, Kristin Bauer a vampire from True Blood, Martine Beswicke, and Caroline Munro.

Also, got a few autographs in exchange for mentioning a few guests on here and doing some photo ops with Kristana Loken the girl…

R.I.P Robert Culp

Robert Culp passed away the other day at the age of 79.

I interviewed Robert in 2008 at the Chiller convention in New Jersey. He was nice to me but showed some signs of confusion in his answers to my questions. I have quite a few signed items he autographed for me there!

R.I.P to Lost Boys actor Cory Haim

The actor from comedy horror film The Lost Boys, and other films, Cory Haim, has passed on , as the report says, from an overdose of drugs.

I never got to meet this young man, but he did attend a few genre conventions on the West Coast.

He will will be missed, what a shame.

R.I.P Art Clokey....creator of GUMBY

I am sad to say that the creator of the famous GUMBY , Art Clokey has passed at 88 yrs old.



That is one autograph I never did get. I grew up with Gumby and all those wacky characters as a kid!

Gene Barry has passed. He was in so many films and television.

I however, remember him fondly in the sci-fi film War of the Worlds.

Something funny about trying to get an autograph from someone that is a bit....deceased.

In the November issue of this months Autograph magazine, there is something I noticed a little strange.



Sure the magazine offers 300 celebrity addresses with each issue, along with 5 guidelines to follow for more success.



Guideline number 5 states, " Be Patient! Responses may take weeks, months, or sometimes even LONGER.

A rare signed Living Dead Doll from one of it's creators!

I met Damien Glonek one of the creators of these Living Dead Dolls at Horrorfind in Maryland not long ago.



His partner Ed long I met during this past Halloween Chiller convention!



A friend and neighbor of mine, Nick, has been collecting these dolls since it's inception.

R.I.P Soupy Sales

Soupy Sales passed away recently.



I interviewed Soupy in New York last year, and his autographed photo to me along with a photo of him signing for me can be seen in the April 2008 issue of this magazine under my column the Sci-Fi Scene.



His helper Kathy is emailing me with possible info she may wish fans to know, so I will hopefully post more here later this week.
