Autograph Magazine is Going Primarily Online

I’m sorry for the delays getting the magazine out. Autograph magazine needs to primarily become an online publication, for many reasons that I'll tell you tomorrow.

We’ll all miss print issues, but I think you’ll love the online benefits: more and larger photos, discussion forums, and feedback on celebrity address success are just a few! Plus current subscribers will get twice the months of your remaining subscriptions (international subscribers will get additional credit).

If you’re not happy, we’ll give you a pro-rata refund. But I think you will be.

I'm heading to a Jewish High Holidays dinner at my mom's house, so I have to leave now. I'll be back online in the morning with more details. Please stay tuned.

Thanks,

Steve

The internet is the wave of the future. I stopped getting the Wall Street Journal delivered and now just read it online (saves some trees too). Movie theaters are going to be a thing of the past. Viewers will watch that latest movies on there HD TV or their IPAD.

Rick, everyone...thanks. I love Autograph Magazine Live! but subscribers will be getting much more--full features and columns with great images and other things people love in the magazine. It's going to take getting used to for some, but I think most people will really like what they get.

One of the best features will be that people can give feedback on celebrity addresses, so they can keep current on which ones are producing good results. Since postage alone to a celebrity and back is 88-cents in the US, that will more than pay for the subscription if you're a through-the-mail collector.

Current US subscribers will get 2 months online for each month remaining, international subscribers will get three months and Canadian subscribers will get about 2.3 months online. But new subscribers will pay $29.95 a year for the magazine online.

steve,
I read the New York Times on line only nowadays, and carry my iPad everywhere I go. I am sure you know that your going GREEN by going online and readers should be thankful. Also, I want to thank you personally for doing more than any single person in the trade to wipe out fraud and forgery in our industry. I know this has cost you greatly in the loss of advertising revenue from sellers of dubious material. What is important is that you chose integrity and doing the right thing over the almighty buck. I know this will continue in spades in the online format and we all look forward to this. You have my vote of cofidence and my support in this move.

I think we should reserve judgement until we see what we get, which from what I understand will be fantastic and well worth the money. Places like artfact or artprices online charge up to hundreds of dollars for a subscription if not more. They provide collectors and dealers valuable info that far outweighs the price of membership. It is ok to question but we should all keep an open mind.
Thanks
John

I have mixed feelings! Just have to wait to see. At least subscribers are getting an extension on their subscriptions but am going to miss the magazine in print!
