Bon Jovi Guitarist Signing Autographs at Camp Pendleton

I was falling asleep on the couch, with CNN on.

They did a story, and the details I can remember before passing out:

Guitarist Richie Sambora did a concert for Marines at Camp Pendleton near San Diego. He also gave away 10 autographed guitars.

They were accoustic guitars that you can fold up and put in your napsack.

I'm a big rock 'n roll autograph collector, but Bon Jovi is a band I've never liked. I've heard they're all good signers, though.

I can tell you Josh that Jon Bon Jovi is one of the worst signer in person. They sell authentic autographs on their website. But you will have a hard time to get Jon to sign. Back in the 80s he was a good signed, but after 1995 he have been real tough.

One time he ask me what I would get for the album before he signed it for me. The only reason he signed it was that it was a rare solo maxi single, so I got one of the biggest and greatest Jon Bon Jovi autographs ever.

That's funny, Bjarne. I've heard of stars saying stuff like that...I would say "I dunno...I'd probably get $20 bucks. That's why ... it amazes me you guys think we're all going to sell this stuff. I've waited here for three hours to meet you. It's not worth $7 an hour waiting, and also -- you can personalize it to me. People don't buy personalized autographs, unless it's The Beatles or Elvis."

But you can't completely fault them. They've signed stuff for people claiming to be huge fans, and they see it on eBay a few days later. I've interviewed many of the stars and they've told me that very thing.

and any person that sells autographs, should state on their website,  that half that money goes to a specific charity. otherwise, they're idiots.
