MICKEY MANTLE AUTHENTIC EXEMPLARS... READ ALL ABOUT IT!

I just wanted to post these here to see what Fudd the Lowly Mantle Collector can do to help stop the flood of forgeries into the market place. The goal is that we can all start educating ourselves before we buy. To see what a beautiful signature the Mick had, and to learn to distinguish it from the obvious forgeries at first glance. Something TTA, STAT, DREW MAX, GAI GLOBAL (Baker certs) My Favorite Players Reborn (Tony Podsada) & Christopher Morales can't seem to do....at all? You will almost never see a signature in this photo album collection that would match or come close to anything that has been certed by any of those guys. Maybe you'll find 1 in a 1000 if you're lucky. To tell the difference between what an original hand signed Photo by the Mick looks like vs. an obvious Fake at first glance is easy. Give it a try. It's Fun!

As has been told many times, The Mick made more in one signing than his dad did in 1 year. He felt obligated to his fans to give them a "work of art". He did this by signing on just the right spot for the particular photograph he was presented. The size of his signature was determined by how big the sweet spot was. He knew EXACTLY how to fit his signature in so it looked perfect. A thing of beauty really. Please note that these are not all the same signature over and over, but merely a sample from my collection. What I do know is that these are consistent with the WAY Mantle signed and structured his Autograph as we know it. Good luck! FUDD

That's why I like my man Fudd; he calls them as he sees them.

The exemplars depicted are pretty clear cut textbook “good” Mantles. It is the “tweeners” that are tough.

Anyway, there is some good info there… too bad they couldn’t present it without taking a swipe at others and this site in general.

summed up farily well in the last few posts.  Koschal and his band of Pogo the Klowns can hopefully be put out of business with the TriSuit currently underway in Florida.  At one point in time he was knowledgebable and actually respected for his opinion... then came TPAs.  We all have bones to pick with the TPAs but for a novice they are a good bet and until something better comes along...

his statement "alledged" to spence is interesting especially where he again "alledges" he spoke to him shortly thereafter.  Strikes me that once the misunderstanding is cleared up... but there is way too much cynacism and BS in all of his posts and it's obvious he know wants to defend one of his klowns.

Me, o/s of the merry band here, I'd also think Richard Simon is also a good source.  Speaking of which, I missed out on a great Williams/Dimaggio, Mantle from AW recently as I nodded off after some grand marnier...

Hey Steve...here is an example of what autos turn into on cheap balls that are not MLB...as you can see the Jerry Crawford and Richard Garcia (Umpires) signed ball is slightly lightly bleeding...this is a non official ball and was signed in 1998...I got the Kelly Preston the same week and also on a non official ball with a sharpie which was was once really nice turned into this bleeding mess over time...it reads Love Kelly Preston...not to get off the Mantle subject at hand but just showing why the other Mantle prior to this was in such terrible shape...cheap made balls and marker ink is the cause and that's what happens

This is why I expose crap like the following.  Ebay seller Spano104 is selling a Mantle, Mays, and Snider autographed baseball.  First, the seller (spano104) inserts PSA/DNA in his title description even the baseball is not PSA certed.  Secondly, in his auction description he writes that he lost the Upper Deck paper work, but yet the ball doesn't have the Upper Deck hologram.  Then he claims the ball comes with a Scoreboard cert for each signature.  But how can that be when he is also claiming that he lost the Upper Deck paper work.  In other words, this seller (spano104) is full of crap.  These are three ugly forgeries.

Check out this horrible forgery from Ebay seller "hardluckcase."  This seller doesn't even know (or does he?) that the "Mantle" he is selling is spelled incorrectly.  It is spelled "Miikey Manlte."

Believe it or not, but there were two people who made "Best Offers" on that Mantle forgery even though both names are spelled incorrectly.
