Richard Roundtree: He's a "BAD MOTHER" and about to sign autographs, so shut your mouth!

"Who's the cat that won't cop out, when there's danger all about, SHAFT!"

Before all the special effects and matrix style cop movies, there were characters named Paul Kersey, Popeye Doyle, Harry Callahan, Frank Serpico, and my favorite from all of that era, John Shaft. Sure you might say I am stuck in the 1970's and retro is all right for a little while and I need to move on and get with the 21st Century movie technology. I hear that quite actually all the time. However for me, that era of late 1960's to mid 1970's car chasing butt kicking cop movies still gets my attention and thrills me to no end. With that said, one of the most iconic characters of that era will be signing autographs this July in Burbank, Ca.

Richard Roundtree, before he stepped into the role of a character actor, made his name as John Shaft in the 1971 film "Shaft". Mr. Roundtree will be making his first time west coast appearance at The Hollywood Show over the weekend of July 23rd-25th. So all you bad mothers out there, all you '70's retro nuts, all you autograph collectors who remember paying $2.00 for a feature movie or mom and dad bringing us all down the drive-in, get your SHAFT memorabilia ready as Richard Roundtree will be here in town signing for 3 days.

I will meet him in person at the Chicago Comic-Con in August. But I would love to meet Angie Dickerson who will also be attending.

A funny story about Angie Dickenson: She arrived at The Hollywood Show autograph convention about 20 minutes after the 10am opening time. Though she was dressed beautifully, she had yet to fully put on her make up. With a line of about 15 people awaiting her, we all stood in line watching her as she commented that she must put on her "face" before she can sign. For about 12-15 minutes we all watched her transpose herself. Interesting to say the least of such a beautiful and very kind woman.
