"I wouldn't buy that signed photo, personally. It does look like there's a swoop missing around the "a". There are many Bourdain signature's that I'm sure are genuine, but that one I'm not so sure."

"That bookplate situation sounds about right. I got one of the calligraphy-inscribed bookplates with authentic signatures in a book I sent to his office. Then I also got a few autopen bookplates sent to me (no book required)."
