Marilyn Monroe signed flamingo hotel menu Las Vegas real ? fake ?

Does anybody think this Marilyn signature looks real?
The menus from the mid 1950's
It's certified by GFA and AAU
it's being sold by antiquities of California for
850.00 sounds like a good price but i am hesitant.

It looks good at first glance, many correct traits and the era of the item. But I can only find out that she was in Vegas in 1947 when she would not have signed like this. It's not a place I know she visited after 1947, but that info could be out there somewhere. Of course, item could have been in a persons pocket who had it signed opportunistically elsewhere.

It's not as spidery as it should be, more rounded than she wrote, and the loops are not as pointy as they should be, and of course the "fin" is pointing in an odd direction. Also the baseline underneath her name is almost flat, it lacks the bridge shape in each word that most signatures have, they even have it a little when written on a contract line.

Overall it's a very risky item. And very cheap, suspiciously so. I would have to say no. It's problems would make it very hard to resell, which may be the excuse for it's cheapness, but also the reason why it is probably not real. I have never seen this signing before and I have seen many recycled over the years through the market.

But check out 50 of her sigs here. After you have looked, you will probably know.

Anything signed by Marilyn Monroe is sketchy. She is one of the most forged autographs in the hobby...I'm not saying the one you're considering buying is fake I just recommend you not buy anything signed by Marilyn Monroe at all.

One of the primary reasons why people like Stephen Rocchi (GFA), Drew Max (AAU), Chris "I Never Saw An Autograph I Didn't Like" Morales, etc have a great business "authenticating" forgeries is because "delusional" autograph collectors believe that Forensic BS.

You will also notice that all of those forensically-examined forgeries always sell for ridiculously low prices, but the "delusional" autograph collector figures they got "lucky" or 'stole" it for such a ridiculous low price.

Below is a GFA-certed (Stephen Rocchi/Guaranteed Forensic Authenticators) set of Mickey Mantle/Roger Maris "autographs" (obvious forgeries).

They sold for a whopping $99.99 from Ebay seller Somethin4nothin1.

That says it all.

Chris, why don't you just go ahead and post the other signed items that you mentioned. This way you can get some honest opinions. Even if you find out some of it is questionable, at least you will know what's good. It hurt when I found out items I had for 30 years were fakes, but you suck it up and move on.
