Sorry if a similar thread already exists but as I couldn't find one I thought I open up a new one. So what do I want to post or write here? Well today most autographs especially from highly frequent celebs are next to impossible to read and usually quit short and not very nice to look at. But there are still some autograph artists out there who seem to put a lot of effort in their signature and are proud.

Here are three examples:

1. Probably the most well known by Lisa Maria Presley. She has a very nice signature with a lot of big loops but still everything readable. This is a very feminin autograph I think.

2. Is race driver Antonio Fuoco. Right now he is driving Formula 2. I collect race drivers for a while but usually they only write hooks or a loop. I assume it is because they write so many autographs every weekend that they just shorten them. Well he has a very nice unique signature in my opinion.

3. One of my fav autographs I have collected in person. It is signed by Jonathan Hultén from death metal band Tribulation. They were support act for arch enemy and I just brought a picture as I didn't knew the band and didn't care much. As he signed I was like "f*** dude you have got a beautiful signature..." he looked at me like I was nuts. Well... who cares.

So if you like the thread I would love to see your favourit signatures that you think are just beautiful and done with a lot of effort.

I think the key is to find examples of the celebrities autograph early in their career. I think over time they just get tired of the constant requests. I can present many examples but here is a comparison of John Mellencamp's signature over time.

You are 100% right John many celebs get tired and their signatures getting worse and worse but I think that is a complete different subject. I just want to see other beautiful examples such as Walt Disney, Eddie Collins Baseball etc. or well Donald Trump, as much as I hate this guy his signature is nice but scares me as it remeinds me on Adolf Hitlers Autograph.

Yes, older generation celebs had much nicer autographs as a general rule.  Two that pop in my head right away are Babe Ruth and Wilt Chamberlain.  I always thought Ruth had a pretty nice autograph.  On most of his signed basketballs, Wilt would spell out every letter in his name.  Oh...also Ted Williams and Mickey Mantle.

As for younger (and living) artists, Avril Lavigne has a pretty nice autograph when she’s not rushed.  She too will often spell out every letter, and that’s a rarity in young celebs under 35 I would say.
