Happens a lot. When they first appear they are £9.99 then nearly always go up to £10.99. So I tend to order as soon as I see it and then if I change my mind cancel the order - Amazon are good on that. I know it's only a pound, but that can go to the next signed purchase!
I switched to my UK forwarder address and it showed available. Probably a better bet to buy the Townsend one though. Also possible JB Hi Fi or Sanity will have it too.
I didn't want to pay $14 to ship a CD and was hoping Amazon UK's might be cheaper. Oh well, you're probably right, I'll probably have to go through Townsend if I decide to get it.
That's probably true - $14 isn't even all that much for international shipping. When I ship art prints or books to the UK via USPS, it often costs more than that.
There's just some psychological thing that makes me reluctant to pay shipping that essentially costs as much as the item.
I'm afraid that the shipping prices for Amazon UK won't be any cheaper than Townsend :-( If the Amazon UK offer was available to the USA then it still would be about the same price as the item itself. That is unfortunately the trend lately.
I have had to send Amazon UK orders to a friend in the UK...then he can post them to me. I'm thankful to have that option!
