Hi all,

I purchased a set of Bob Dylan signed Mondo Scripto prints a couple of years ago from Castle Art.

The recent S&S book controversy is making me uneasy about the authenticity of the “hand-signed” signatures on the prints.

How can I tell if the signatures are autopen/are there any forum members who also may have any of these prints so we can compare signatures?

Sorry Nichole - nobody here cares what proves it to you ;)

Belive me

Lars Olav Karlsen, degrading members is the quickest way to permanently lose your Autograph Live membership. Don't.

And for the record, I care about Nicole's opinion, and I'm far from alone.

I wouldnt mind looking at what you have but, it would need to be varified. 100% real items with photographic evidence for me to consider it along side other examples im researching. This means of course I cant accept anything released by his management. I dont care about Epperson or authenticators opinions either. Just 100% proven in-person items with absolute proof accompanying it.

Are you saying Roger has never made a mistake or been wrong about authenticating specific items?

Nicole be honest with the members here.  You were 100% defending Dylan and saying it's ridiculous to suspect ANYTHING he signed (other than the recent books) was done by autopen. Then Dylan himself contradicted you and now Castle Fine Art are offering refunds. You were wrong -- BIG TIME. And you still won't say how you know these things -- do you work for Dylan?  Or Castle Art?  Or ????

Bruce, this was true, however, Nichole did provide me with at least 17 different photos of the books where templates were created.. She was a big reason this thread grew at the beginning.

I don’t know if this is useful…but in the Dropbox folder link below, I’ve put every Dylan signature from all the prints on display at Castle Fine Art in Cambridge. Taken on Friday, the day before the official apology. The entire 2nd floor of the gallery is Dylan, including the stairs. The big triptic is on the ground floor.  More than 20 prints in total.  Sorry I didn’t get wider shots, so you can see which artworks are which… but they seemed to range mostly over the last 4-5 years.

Three definite fakes / autopenned and twenty possible ones !

Thanks for posting. ill be cross referencing with their website to see what I can find for info during the week but am very curious about any that were produced 2018 or before.

Hi Justin, I did take a very quick video.. on the Dropbox link below (and in the folder I previously sent).  It’s sweeping back in reverse on the order of the images… as I came up the stairs and looked at prints on the right first, walking around the room. If that makes sense. The last image in the folder was on the easel with the box below. The 2nd to last image in the folder is the first print in this video..and then work backwards.  Hope that helps a little. Obviously missing some of the prints on the stairs…but captures about 2/3rds of the prints. Might help with identification.

Here’s the signature on my 2018 Mondo Scripto print.

The signature on the CoA is printed, not autopen (or pencil), and is the same across multiple series.

Here is mine, from a Beaten Path Series print:
