Thanks! Any suggestions on where to get a frame? Im seeing a lot of $200 dollar frames. Hoping to find something that wont break the bank too badly.

even graphite will fade over time with continued UV exposure. best to avoid with all graphs.

I'll have to look into that more. I just know if it does fade with UV light, it would take much longer than ink. But still best to treat the item the same as you would frame any other collectable.

Heather, I cant say how much it would cost. Ive only ever framed items myself and have given it up these days since I dont want everything displayed. Im like you, if I cant put items in a binder, it stays rolled up only to be seen maybe once a year. I was hesitant buying a 2nd for myself for this very reason but, its Paul Simon. Huge exception and a good problem to have. I may have to frame this one because its a shame to keep this one hidden

Jor-El is right. Use matboard, never place items directly on glass or whatever you use in place of glass. Thats important. Im not sure about how UV affects graphite over time exactly but am reading now that there is a reaction?... Its much different than ink however and if you leave this in direct sunlight with regular glass, the litho will eventually turn to just a blank off-white but the graphite will still be there. Protect the litho and the graphite signature will be fine. If this is stored in a room without windows, using LED lighting, it will be fine in your lifetime under regular glass. If you plan to store this in a room with many windows and lots of daylight, id say look into uv protected glass or acrylic.. and never in direct sunlight. There is way more to framing than just this, but thats the basics.

To frame it properly will cost more than the cost of the print, but that is what you'll need to do in order to preserve its value.

I saw someone post the print numbered XX/500 with a COA that came with it and mentions the SIGNED & numbered print and has the XX/500 edition size. But the SIGNED print only has a 250 edition size.

So did they screw up on the COA or has he signed all prints? In that case those that ordered the unsigned which was much cheaper have got a killer deal.

Thinking about it, it still can be print number XX/500 where only the first 250 receive the signature and COA. But it is confusing and leaves a lot of possibility for scammers who target the less informed (eg. we could be seeing print 400/500 signed where "the COA is lost")

This is exactly what my thinking was that lead me to create the post below. I would think numbers 1 - 250 should be signed, 251-500 unsigned. if its a mixed bag between all numbers, that would be a mess with potential forgeries. its still possible for someone to erase they higher numbers and forge a different number as well as a signature. I'm not happy how it was handled, they should have all been signed
