This "autograph" of James Dean is currently on eBay for $3999.99 OBO.
It has a HEROES AND LEGENDS COA from the late Myron Ross as well as a detailed analysis from GUARANTEED FORENSIC EXAMINERS, LLC.
Talk about a pedigree!
I had never really looked closely at one of those garbage forensic analysis reports. The ink and document analysis forms spend more space on the history of paper and fountain pens than anything else. Crazy also that they compare the HEROES AND LEGENDS forgery to actual legitimately authenticated examples from reliable sources like RRauctions.

Virtually everything authenticated by GFA is a forgery.
Science means confirming that it's ink on paper.
During the thirteen years that I have been exposing the forgeries "authenticated" by GFA, I have yet to observe an authentic autograph with their worthless COA.
Sadly, I had a friend some years back who was taken in by an item that had an LOA from GFA. I really haven't paid much attention to them since. I helped him get his money back from the seller so that worked out, finally.
Is GFA in cahoots with certain dealers.... and/or do they sell stuff of their own creation?
GFA must be in cahoots with certain dealers. Maybe they get a piece of the profit in some cases instead of a certification fee, I don't know, but it's obvious that the only reason dealers would go to Guaranteed Forensic Authenticators is to get fake autographs certified as genuine.
That totally unnecessary rider, "Signature is correct" is as close to a confession about the seller's self-doubt as you are likely to see.
Extraordinary.
I have never seen the like before. If they had said, "We have compared the signature to known examples and believe it be authentic..." - fine! But "Signature is correct" - ridiculous!! That's what you call "putting your reputation on the line"!
It is an extraordinary statement by the seller regarding their offering.
Both James Dean and Houdini are names that have been lucrative for the forging industry. I'm betting there are many GFA 'badged' items floating around out there alleged to be from both of them.
