Did anyone else get it with the bookplate loose? It was not removed from the backing tape and instead just left loose inside the cover.

I've never seen a bookplate just floating inside waiting to be applied.

Will this be better or worse for collecting? thinking it does make it more friendly to be mounted but makes you wonder how many were signed and how these were even put together. At least premiere were stuck on and not just loose inside the front cover. Strangest bookplate I've ever seen.

A lot of indie bookstore get the bookplates separate from the books- the same as the big chains. The big stores just pay someone to stick them in the books-the same as what Premiere does. Some stores affix then to the books. Others ship it inserted in the book but unaffixed. They are still legit signed bookplates. It's just how individual stores do things.

Books of Wonder on NYC frequently sends unaffixed bookplates instead in a book. That's how I got Him Kay-the illustrator for Harry Potter books from them.

Assuming you can peel a sticker and put it on straight- there really is no difference. And some folks who were going to use it for a cut might actually prefer it because they can choose what stock they mount it on.

And at least unlike Premiere's, the bookplates weren't trash done with dried up markers.

I wonder with the dried up pens if they even offered any solutions I see a lot of negative reviews now too.

Got mine from Premiere recently. I tried to cancel and somehow they read my cancellation request as a we ship all your pre-orders at the same time (I also tried to cancel the Brolin seeing it was available elsewhere cheaper and now it's been on BOGO with BAM).Totally ignoring anything in my request. The pen is fairly dried up. I have the BoW one which should deliver today or tomorrow. I have a few loose plates, not many. won't be all that mad if it's loose from them. I'm going to just try and sell one of the copies now. I was hoping premiere would cancel and just resell themself at a huge mark up being the only one left.
