I would immediately be even more skeptical of a black drumhead signed in multi-colored paint pens supposedly signed in the early 90's.

There was a whole discussion back in 2011 about Nirvana Signed Drumhead.

You will find the answer to your question in there!

It looks crap and thats because it is.

Crap!!!! Thats awful!

Not good. In many ways!

20 years ago there were no in person collectors going around with drumhead for signing unless it is Ringo Starr or Charlie Watts signing. I have seen pictures of Nirvana signing skateboards. That is my holy grail!!! :D

Wow Awesome !! Starting at $1.00. The seller must be stupid or insane!! ( I am quoting the seller's post)

What a joke!!!

This is really insane...

lol

That is just a disgusting forgery. And the description would really be very funny if it werent for the fact that someone will buy it blindly. You know J, i think i have seen something by that seller before. It seems somewhere on the forum someone posted an example of an auction where the seller used that same phrase about being stupid or insane. This seller, however is neither, he is a third option......... a crook.

So in addition to his fake Nirvana drum head, he also apparently has a couple Nirvana autographed guitars. And he says he got them from this small midwestern shop. And wait for it......................they actually had COAs. Thats right everyone, an actual real life COA. But the seller couldnt find it, oh what a shame.

What this story translates too is.............. He bought a display of cheap Nirvana signed items like we all have seen before on this site. You know the ones, with 5 albums signed in the frame, along with a guitar and drumhead. Where the frame is always more expensive than the forgeries it contains. The only real question is did the buyer purchase the item knowing it was a forgery to try and resale it later, or did he learn it was a forgery after he purchased it, and is now trying to flip it, knowing full well its a bad forgery.

I would love to hear him come here and defend that item and also post pictures of his signed Nirvana guitar as well. Im betting it has the same familiar sketch of the stick figure Dave banging away at the drums. That sketch seems to be the new trademark of horrible Nirvana items.

Carl, rock star gallery sells nirvana framed guitars and albums all the time for thousands of dollars.

Here in my opinion is an authentic Nirvana signed Spin Magazine that was sold a few weeks ago.
