How the heck can you expect Drew Max to get a Hendrix right when he continues to "authenticate" poorly-penned Mantle forgeries; and he's been doing that for years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL@If this is a fake it could be that they were robbed when they purchased it, or they have an amazing poker face!

Antiquities is well aware of the items they sell!!!!

Here are a couple that look similar to yours. Same forgery style.

Wow, what a surprise.  The top one has a Drew Max sticker on it..............

"Forensic" report?

Who?  Chris Morales?

Geez.

I understand completely about wanting it to be real. I would guess that no less than 20 people have come here since i joined with the same kinda story. They bought something at Antiquities b/c of the sales staff or an impulse buy, and then they find out the truth about them. (that they sell fakes). It typically takes a while for it to hit home, b/c no one wants to admit the item is bad. There are some great Jimi forgeries out there, and if you want to know 100 percent on it, you can get a quick opinion from Roger Epperson for 15 dollars. As far as i know, he is considered the best on Hendrix and is JSA's music authenticator. He will be able to tell you for sure if you want some closure. But ballroom and others are very well versed on Hendrix.

Typically what happens from this point, is that Antiquities will offer to accept the return once you pressure them enough, but they will not want to give you a refund, and will fight you tooth and nail on it. Then eventually they will offer you store credit. The problem is, its no good to trade in a fake autograph for another fake if you know what i mean.

There have been so many problems with this company i have heard of. In my opinion, anything from Vegas and Florida, and a few others should be looked at with extreme suspicion.

Another huge huge sign that its bad is that it comes with the Drew Max COA. Pawn stars used Max for a while, and the autograph community almost busted a gut laughing at the stuff he said was real. Too my knowledge the guy with the worst FDE reputation out there, and for that matter the worst authenticator out there is Chris Morales in my opinion. He certs anything from my experience. And coming in 2nd is Drew in my opinion. Chris Williams probably has more hatred for those 2 men than most b/c he exposes so many forgeries they cert. Nowadays, items that come with a Drew Max or Chris Morales cert are viewed as huge red flags.

I would go with Roger or PSA quick opinion to give you some closure. But im pretty sure its a clunker even though it may look good at first. But please dont wait till its too late. Fight for your refund

I hear ya Kingj, you WANT it to be real...

(I will reiterate in this thread for the holiday season because it fits so well with kingj)

I WANT Santa to come down my chimney tomorrow night too! Get the analogy?

Lol, shoot Steve, i was hoping to read what craziness awaited. What was going on with that coaches corner lot he posted. Did he post an authentic example, and say it was Morales's, just to see if he could catch someone judging just by the cert? Wouldnt surprise me. Lol. Grant Van DerHoven or Vand Der Street really does have some screws loose.
