Unfortunately, not authentic IMO.

I agree. Not authentic, IMO. It looks like the signature has a slow flow to it.

Here's a link to another look at someone posting two examples. Theirs a lot of verbal diaharria in the discussion so you may just want to go to the bottom of the page and look for yourself, as it wasn't about mantle autos specifically. Per the "experts" on here...the top is fake the bottom is real but you can read to make sure. To me it looks like the bottom ball but everything is subjective unless you get it yourself, IMO! Hope it helps

Type in how to authenticate Mantle in the search. The Mantle,Dimagg, Williams is good. you tube is good with steve grad giving tips. there is plenty here about Mickey mantle here, he is the most discussed autograph here. Chris Williams here is one of the best there is. I don't believe he has ever boasted that he is an "expert". Most people here have high respect for him as he has exposed a multitude of Mantle forgeries and has never asked for a penny.

Ian, as you probably realize, the only ones that throw the term "expert" around, are the ones that come on here questioning our opinions.  case in point is S n s post above.  "per the "experts" on here".

Sports n Stuff, go to the PSA/ DNA site and watch Grads video on Mantle Dimag and williams.  once you watch that, if you cannot tell the difference between the Ted Williams on the two balls you linked here, then perhaps you should find another hobby.

not much help.  the top ball that you are referring to is a common forgery.  the bottom one is authentic, as was stated.

Not "according to the experts".....according to the signature for anyone who can see with one eye open and the other with an ice pick in it. A fourth grader could tell the difference, IMHO. Sorry if you can't apparently, that's obviously why the scam perpetuates knumby.

and BTW, the ball in this post labeled "The Mick" is "The FAKE". and I'm not an expert...just a collector who can easily spot a mantle fake 1 mile away. Sorry you can't Doubting Thomas, before you jump my S***

not authentic

Not authentic.

Thanks to all for your help

Charlie

Sure looks like the one I have.  However mine has "Bob Watson" (Astro) autograph on it too.  They were both signing autos at Finger's  Furniture,  Finger's is where the "Buff Stadium" (Houston) used to be.  Get a COA.
