Hi all, I'm a huge MM fan. Saw this on Amazon. Please take a look and give me your advise. Thanks

My first thought is the signatures have the correct formation and look good overall. I am generally worried about signed cards or other easily and cheaply obtained generic items and I was worried it was on Amazon. Then I noted the seller was JG Autographs and that eased my mind for the most part. I think they are generally a good company to work with. I'm unsure if that is a good price or not.

JG Autographs is a very reputable dealer and backs up what they sell. I think the Marliyn Monroe is probably real, but I don't know her as well as many others do. I don't know Arthur Miller's autograph well enough to comment.

Is JG pretty reliable?

Yes

You might want to join the Marilyn Monroe Group on this forum, and post your photo there to see what others think.  Might get more help from those that study her autograph.    http://live.autographmagazine.com/group/marilynmonroeautos

Hi Elaine, yes this is most definitely real, provided it isn't a colour photocopy you will receive, such thoughts occur to me! :-)

It's clear the age of the ink is right too. This looks like Arthur's signature. The reason for the reasonable price may well be that to some Marilyn fans Arthur's signature almost devalues her, sad but true, he is not popular among her fans, her solitary signature would be more attractive to many. However, the presence of his signature also, naturally, authenticates her signature. It's a good buy.

The speed of the signatures are perfect too, his fairly hurried, hers is a perfect example of her signature during this era.

I would also ask for the dimensions of the sigs before you buy  as they look very small to me

looking at the card if the piece was rematted his signature could be framed out just leaving Marilyns on display

I think it would be especially cool to frame Marilyn and Arthur Miller together.  I don't know how rare their autographs are on the same piece, but he's a big part of the history of Marliyn Monroe. They were married for six years and he wrote The Misfits, her last completed film.

Hi Elaine,

Just echoing what a few members have said here..

JG Autographs is very reputable!

Also, the item can be purchased cheaper via their website instead of amazon.

I believe this was in RR Auctions last year.

I know JG is very reputable. And though that seems to be a good price, see if they might cut you a little discount.
