I contacted these people about a month-and-a-half ago regarding this particular 16 by 20 Mickey Mantle autographed framed picture. I told them, you may have a forgery on your hands. They actually took it down for about a week and then someone got back to me from their customer service department 2 weeks later and told me that it was authentic. Well, today I see it up there again and I wanted to share it with the group so you can give me your thoughts. Thanks.

That Mantle forgery has been on their website forever and under their Ebay ID.
Thanks Chris, I did not know that. Learn something new everyday. Thanks for the info.
They used to list a ton of GA-certed Jeter and Rivera autographs also.
This is the group that lists other people’s items from ebay, i believe without their permission, and hugely marks up the price. Then if someone buys the item from sportsmenorabilia.com, sportsmemorabilia then immediately buys it from the real owner on ebay and has it shipped to sportmenorabilia’s buyer. They don't actually have these items in stock or even own them. They are nothing but parasites. As an example, there’s a Russell/Chamberlain signed basketball for sale on ebay by someone else for $2800 that Sportsmemorabilia has listed for $4908.00. That would be a nice little profit for them if someone was stupid enough to buy from them. I’m kind of surprised they are allowed to do this.
James is 100% correct about that.
Well written, James.
Hey James, Just started frequenting sports memorabilia.com a while ago. That's insane. Now I've heard everything!!!
I really don't think they sell a lot of high-end items with that huge mark-up.
I wrote and posted the below thread six years ago. You will read my reference to Sportsmemorabilia.com.
I caught them in a big white lie.

Floating other seller's inventory on ebay is nothing new and it's not simply isolated to any one topic, like autographs. There are probably thousands of ebay sellers listing items from catalogs at a 50% to 100% mark up, or more. Furniture, statues, home décor, you name it. If someone is careless enough to order something at twice the going rate off of ebay, the seller will then buy it from that catalog at half the price of your order and provide it. This is very common. Some sellers list millions upon millions of dollars in items that they don't own.
That is one huge scam and gutsy, too. I'm sure it's a long shot but what if someone buys the item on ebay shortly before or after the person buys it from the SM website.
Gutsy, indeed!! Thank you all, for your priceless input!! Great stuff as usual!!!!
