Ooh, nice! Cheers.

Looks like Foyles have it too. I would post the link but the site has just gone down for me.

Nice - I'm in. Looks like it will be a fun read!

Donald passed away today. So sad. I don't want to be that guy, but I assume these are going to be cancelled now.

Really interesting to know if tip ins usually get done well in advance, or right before the publishing. Hopefully we luck out and still get them

makes me wonder if the book itself was even finished. it was a memoir and from what I read they say he was sick for a while. I guess we will find out when all these places either don't refund or start refunding.

I would expect that the book itself was done if cover art and distribution date was already locked in. The only question is whether he signed these. Given that we knew these were up for pre-order several months ago, it's a distinct possibility.

This could be the rare case where a book is announced just before the author died, released after he died, and may have had the last known signatures he completed. If so, it could be an instant collector's item.

I've always been a fun, and always wanted to meet him, but never really got the chance. I have met Kiefer, however, and he is just as interesting as you would think.

This just received from BAM:

We regret to inform you of an unforeseen circumstance regarding your pre-order for the autographed copy of Made Up, But Still True by Donald Sutherland.

Unfortunately, before the author had the opportunity to sign the books, we received the devastating news of his passing. Due to this unfortunate event, we will be cancelling your order.

So that's that!

Yeah, I was really not looking forward to a response on this pre-order. This is one of the rare times when I was genuinely interested in buying the book and the autograph would be a bonus.

It’s very nice that they did offer a discount

Vintage Donald:

That's such a weird film. I saw it only for the first time a couple of years ago and I'm still getting flashbacks - lol.
